June 14th was the day for some routine mail server maintenance that ended up causing mail interruption and the spam filtering software to lock up. The maintenance cleared over 600,000 backed up spam mails from the server.

After last nights scheduled maintenance was finished on DFH server #3 suffered a hardware failure involving its main hard drive during the wee hours of the morning. After a 21 hour marathon session (thanks goes out to all involved!) a new cloud hosting server is in place.
During the routine maintenance a session file for Plesk has become "locked" and at the moment is unchangeable. As such Plesk cannot be started on the server.

After a trouble ticket was created to have DFH#3 added to our server providers new online server management console was created DFH#3 became unresponsive.
DFH #1 is back up and running after a power outage (caused by a 2000 amp power box melting causing the entire building to be out of power).
DFH server #1 is currently down. The 2000 amp power circuit that feeds the data center in which DFH#1 resides is currently disabled due to a melted power box.
A data center fire that occurred on Saturday has caused a service interruption. We have re-routed several of the affected protocols and everything is back up - although you may experience some slower access over the next few days as the data center is rebuilt and other servers deal with the backlog of traffic.

Offsite backup server off line.
Update!! The backup server is back online. The troubles were traced to a faulty ethernet switch that would intermittantly pass traffic. The switch has been replaced and all traffic is flowing properly.

Plesk interface is back on DFH#3 but with limited functionality. We are continuing to work to restore full funtionality without having any down time.

As of 6:15am Saskatchewan time 2007-06-27 (not daylight savings time) DFH server #3 was rebooted due to unresponsiveness. Since the reboot it has been functioning normally.
